Admindek 3.6 release guide #
Latest patch: 3.6.1, released October 12, 2026. The patch fixes the shared breadcrumb Home link for subfolder deployments, including the DashboardPack demo. The 3.6.0 release below remains in the GitHub history.
Released October 12, 2026. This release modernizes dependencies, repairs template processing in development, and updates the calendar and uploader integrations. Existing dashboard, application, chart, and table pages remain available.
Upgrade #
- Back up your customized source files and compare them with this release, especially
vite.config.js, shared layout partials, calendar code, and the Uppy demo. - Use Node.js 20.19+ or 22.12+. Node 24 is selected by
.nvmrcand is recommended. - Run
npm ci, thennpm run check. - Run
npm run devand openhttp://localhost:3000. Use/forms/form2_flu-uppy.htmlfor the uploader example. Source files contain@@include()directives and cannot be opened directly as a finished website. - Deploy the contents of
dist/. Production preview is available withnpm run preview. Rebuild after changing styles, compiled feature bundles, or dependencies.
Integration changes #
FullCalendar 7: the copy plugin now supplies the all/global.js bundle and Classic theme JavaScript/CSS under stable output filenames. Its Temporal polyfill is installed explicitly. The calendar's obsolete Bootstrap theme option and resize option were removed, colors follow Bootstrap variables, and the event editor reads actual event dates instead of formatted strings. Custom integrations should compare options and event APIs with the installed FullCalendar 7 declarations.
Uppy 6: src/assets/js/forms/uppy.js imports Core, Dashboard, Webcam, Tus, DragDrop, and StatusBar individually. Vite generates assets/js/uppy-demo.js and assets/css/uppy-demo.css. The page no longer imports a remote bundle or a legacy fallback. Dashboard colors update when the template theme changes. All examples still use the public Tus demo endpoint; replace it with your own upload service for an application.
Data tables: jQuery 4 remains available only to the existing DataTables demos. The vanilla table examples use the current installed Simple DataTables module; its stale checked-in copy and the unused resolver were removed. No table features were deliberately removed.
Template processing: source/build HTML URLs redirect to public development routes, includes inherit their parent context, repeated partials are allowed, and circular or missing includes fail. Template replacements preserve literal dollar signs and distinguish overlapping keys. The asset middleware now imports the filesystem functions it uses.
Asset copying: installed package distributions overwrite source copies. Required files fail fast if a package changes distribution paths. Star-rating SVG fallbacks and FullCalendar theme assets are supplied by the build. Unused Jarallax, root code, and the broken public/assets symlink were removed; Vite already disables publicDir and copies assets through its plugin.
Theme and accessibility: shared root and nested footers use the Vite configuration. Header icons have descriptive accessible names, counter/progress effects respect reduced-motion preferences, calendar user text avoids HTML injection, and footer/invoice links resolve correctly at their page depth.
Tooling and documentation #
npm testruns six template regression tests with Node's built-in runner.npm run checkruns tests, builds, and validates local assets, local HTML links, and unresolved directives across 211 public generated pages. Layout fragments are not counted as standalone pages..github/workflows/build.ymlvalidates the project on Node 22 and 24.- Utility scripts now use ES modules, matching the package configuration.
- Installation, troubleshooting, contributor guidelines, and the modernization review describe the current workflow. A verified Uppy screenshot is included.
Validation and limits #
The six regression tests, production build, page-link/asset validation, and whitespace checks pass. Browser checks confirmed the uploader dashboard and popup, calendar editing without an end date, table initialization and filtering, dashboard theme switching, and the uploader's 390px/1280px and RTL layouts. No horizontal overflow was observed on the uploader at those widths.
Actual upload transfers, generated export downloads, all possible UI interactions, and every page's RTL layout were not exercised. The HTML count reflects public generated pages rather than all source partials or documentation files.
npm outdated reported no outdated declared packages at release preparation. npm audit reports one low-severity Quill HTML-export advisory for 2.0.3. The latest release remains affected; npm proposes a downgrade. Current demos do not call getSemanticHTML. Sanitize exported or stored editor HTML before adding it to a trusted HTML sink.
Dependency changes #
The following table records changed/new declared version ranges relative to 3.5.0. The lockfile records exact installed and transitive versions. The former uppy aggregate dependency was removed.
